Welcome

We normally meet in the Sanderstead United Reformed Church Hall, Sanderstead Hill from 2pm to 4pm on the first Wednesday of each month, but please check on the Events page as sometimes the meetings will be on Zoom if conditions dictate the necessity. You are welcome to come as a visitor and join us for a meeting.  Our subscription for the year starts in April.  Please email us if you would like further details or to join us at at one of our meetings.

100th Anniversary of Sanderstead WI 

It was our 100th birthday in 2021 and we received this certificate of recognition from the NFWI on 15 March 2021. We are creating a commemorative tablecloth with the names of current members embroidered on it and we had a picnic celebration on the Gruffy in the summer 2021.

16 MAY 2023 TRIP - NOW FULL

our coach outing to the Weald and Downland Museum on 16 May 2023 is now full and we have a waiting list. If you would like to come please contact our Co President, Linda to go on the waiting list.   Its £25 per person. 

Our next WI Meeting is 5 April. Please contact the webmaster or Co- Presidents if you are interested in attending as a guest. You will be very welcome to come along and find out about us.

Its the beginning of our new year and time to pay annual subscriptions so bring your cheque books with you of you are not doing a bank transfer.

A trip is being arranged to go on the ‘Behind the Seams Tour’ at DSI. Date to be confirmed shortly.

Looking back- Christmas party -7 December 2022

We had a good time and a big thank you to all who helped and well done to Carol running her first solo meeting as Co-President. We sent our best wishes to all those who could not attend. The Gallery has a few photos and there’s also photos of the Christmas lunch.  

We also brought to the party donations for the Purley Food Hub and received their thanks.

The Christmas Tree Festival, 3 Dec - we came 3rd!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the decorations and decorating the Christmas tree. Our theme was `Inspiring Women` and we received many compliments on the both the theme and the execution. Pictured are Sue, who is the chief mover and shaker for entering the competition, and three of her Christmas elves, Gill M., Barbara H. and Lee L.
