Welcome

We normally meet in the Sanderstead United Reformed Church Hall, Sanderstead Hill from 2pm to 4pm on the first Wednesday of each month, but please check on the Events page as sometimes the meetings will be on Zoom if conditions dictate the necessity. You are welcome to come as a visitor and join us for a meeting.  Our subscription for the year starts in April, but you may, of course join later in the year at a pro rata rate. Please email us if you would like further details or to join us at one of our meetings.

If you would like to attend a meeting of Sanderstead WI please contact the webmaster and we will arrange for someone to meet and greet you at the meeting. You will be most welcome.

Please also look at the most recent message on the Presidents’ Blog.

Why not come to our next meeting on 1st May?

Our next meeting is on 1st May at 2pm at the United Reform Church, Sanderstead Hill. You will be made very welcome and if you would like to come along please email us at webmaster@sandersteadwi.org

Members, don’t forget your mugs for tea and coffee as we are phasing out the use of paper cups.  For further information please go to our Members’ page. which is password protected. Please email the Committee if you have forgotten the password.

On 1st May, at our meeting, we will be having our annual plant sale so please bring your spare seedlings and plants along. House plants are also welcome. If you cannot bring plants then feel free to bring a book along to sell as we will also have a book stall.

In the last year we have enjoyed .....

…. a series of very good speakers on a variety of topics, a trip to Behind the Seams, where the costumes are made for Strictly Ballroom, coffee mornings, a craft stall at our October meeting, and a very enjoyable afternoon tea on 9 August, where a significant amount was raised for our charity the South East Cancer Help Centre. Our Old bags and haberdashery stall on 10 June at the Gruffy also raised funds.

We had our AGM in November and welcome our new Committee.  We had a lovely Christmas lunch at Croham Hurst Golf Club and the following week we enjoyed our Christmas Party.  Many of our Small Groups also had additonal Christmas celebrations. Thank you to all who have volunteered to help at Meetings and those who organised coffee mornings and trips etc. in 2023. We look forward to lots more fun with our WI in 2024.

Our Old bags and haberdashery stall in June 2023.  We are not going to be at the Gruffy Fair in 2024 but we intend to be there in June 2025.  See our Gallery page for more photos of activities we have enjoyed in the recent past.
