Welcome

We meet in the Sanderstead United Reformed Church Hall, Sanderstead Hill from 2pm to 4pm on the first Wednesday of each month, (or on zoom if needed).

Thinking of visiting? We’d love to have you join a meeting to see what it’s all about – email us on secretarysandersteadwi@hotmail.com to confirm!

Our annual subscriptions commence in April, and for 2025 the annual subscription is £51.  The subscription is pro rata’d for those who join part way through the year. Please email the secretary if you would like further details or to join us at one of our meetings.

If you would like to attend a meeting of Sanderstead WI please contact the webmaster and we will arrange for someone to meet and greet you at the meeting. You will be most welcome.

Please also look at the most recent message on the Presidents’ Blog. And have a look at our Gallery for some news of recent activities, trips and photos we’ve taken.

Our next meeting is on 1st October and we have a craft stall.

You are very welcome to come along as a visitor.  Contact the secretary at the email address above.

Our Summer tea on 6th August

Our Summer tea party was held in August at Margaret’s, and we are very grateful to her allowing us to enjoy the garden and thanks to Carol and Jacqui for organising and for all the home made cakes that members provided.

A great day at the Gruffy Fayre on Saturday 14 June 2025

We had a successful day at the Gruffy with our tombola and thanks to all who donated items for it and came along on the day to help.

It was good to see our sister WI, Sanderstead Village there and we are delighted that they have agreed to join us in a tree planting initiative for the autumn. More details to follow in October.

Issie Dolls created by our President for the Surrey Federation of WIs

Inspired by the late Master Corporal Mark “Izzy” Isfield and his mother Carol, volunteers around the world create Izzy or Issie Dolls to bring comfort to children in need, particularly those affected by conflict or crisis. Our President, Carol has knitted all these dolls for the Surrey Federation for their stall for the next Pride in Surrey event.
